Road repairs on Washington Blvd and 400 E are completed and the road is back open. Thanks for your patience.
Road repairs on Washington Blvd and 400 E. are ready for asphalt. Unfortunately the rain delayed the asphalt. Asphalt will be laid tomorrow pending weather. Please be patient and take alternative routes.
At approximately 8:30 pm last night a water service main line that runs up 400 East/Washington Blvd. had a major break at approximately 2650 North. This caused a large flow of water to be released under the road, creating buckling and sinking. North Ogden Public Works employees responded at approximately 9 pm and worked throughout the night to fix the water main. Approximately 3 dozen homes lost water service temporarily, but service has been restored to all homes.
However, 400 East/Washington Blvd. remains unstable from approximately 2600 North to 2700 North and the road will remain closed until repairs can be conducted. Our City Engineer has conducted an initial survey of the road and we are working to begin repairs immediately. The road will remain closed until further notice and potentially up to one week, depending on the amount of repairs needed. We are working to repair the road as soon as possible and will post updates.
